A Creed

To believe in the dawn, though the night be long,
To trust in the right, though the forces be wrong,
To hold to the good, though the shadows may creep,
To sow seeds of kindness while others may sleep.
To lift up the fallen, to comfort the weak,
To speak words of truth, though the timid may shriek,
To live with a purpose, a goal ever clear,
This creed I embrace, and I banish all fear.
