The River-God

The River-God
O, my father, the River, my father, the Flood,
I am coming to thee in the might of my blood.
My spirit is strong, and my limbs are of steel,
And I come to thee, Father, to make thee reveal
The secrets that lie in thy deep, dark breast,
And to put thy dark powers to my lonely test.
I am coming, O Father, I am coming to thee,
And I come to thee, River-God, coming for me.
