EVENING SONG

EVENING SONG
The sun has set, the day is done,
The stars begin to softly gleam.
A gentle peace, for everyone,
As twilight fades, a waking dream.
The moon ascends, a silver sphere,
Casting its glow on land and sea.
The night descends, dispelling fear,
And brings a calm tranquility.
The crickets chirp, the owls awake,
Their nightly chorus fills the air.
The world now rests, for goodness sake,
And sheds its worries, free from care.
