A Memory's Echo

An echo faint, a memory's trace,
Doth linger still within the mind,
Recalling time, and love, and place,
That left a lasting joy behind.
Though years may pass, and seasons turn,
This gentle whisper shall remain,
A flame within, that brightly burn,
And ease the heart, and soothe the pain.
