A Moment's Repose

A moment's rest, a gentle pause,
From life's hard toil, and weary strife,
To yield to nature's quiet laws,
And find new strength for onward life.
The heart beats calm, the mind is free,
From burdens that were held so tight,
And in this calm serenity,
The soul finds solace and delight.
