Evening's Calm

The evening calm, a gentle peace,
Descends upon the weary world,
And bids the hurried worries cease,
As stars begin to be unfurled.
The moonbeams soft, on fields alight,
A tranquil scene, serene and deep,
And nature rests throughout the night,
While weary mortals softly sleep.
