On receiving an Account that his Only Sister's Death was Inevitable.

by Sara Teasdale · 1791 · Loss & Grief

Thy life shall last! Oh, with what joy I see
Thy dying smiles!
Oh, with what grief I see
They fade for ever, and for evermore!
My weeping eyes shall see them nevermore!
