Rock of Names

The Rock of Names, where lovers met,
And carved their tokens there,
A testament, they'd ne'er forget,
A love beyond compare.
Upon its face, were names entwined,
Of those whose hearts were one,
A record, left for all mankind,
Beneath the moon and sun.
But time and tide, have washed away,
Those carvings, one by one,
And naught remains, to this sad day,
But memory, of what's done.
