The Brothers

In Ennerdale, a valley deep,
Where mountains stand so tall,
Two brothers lived, and did they keep,
A cottage by the wall.
And they did love the sea and shore,
And all the sights and sounds,
That to their simple lives, outpour,
From nature's vast surrounds.
But one was lost, upon the main,
And never did return,
And left the other, fraught with pain,
His lonely fate to learn.
