The Distant Shore

Upon the distant, misty shore,
Where waves do break and seagulls cry,
A longing stirs, and asks for more,
Beneath the vast and endless sky.
A sense of peace, a quiet call,
To leave the cares of yesterday,
And heed the ocean's siren thrall,
To find a new and brighter way.
